SRI SIDDIVINAYAKA MAHA TEMPLE

It must have been known to all that Siddi Vinayaka Mahayagam was performed at Kannur Chirakkal Rajas High School Compound from April 17th to May 2nd 2007. Though the yaga was performed successfully with the blessings of Lord Vigneshwara and the immense help and co-operation of the devotees, it was revealed by eminent astrologers through their forecast that a noble temple with the idols of Sri Siddi Vinayaka and Sri Annapoorneswari must be erected inorder to achieve the full benedictions of the yaga and the world peace. It was also revealed through the predictions that the most appropriate plot could be found near the premises of 'Velam Ganapathy Temple.

Accordingly an Ashtamangalya prashna (Swarnaprasna) was conducted in the plot near Mayyil Ganesh College and Sri subrahmanya Temple and it was found that the particular plot was apt for the construction of the proposed temple. It was even revealed that the very inspiration for the conduct of Yaga was in fact a divine design to intuit the men concerned to culminate the structure of this temple.

In view of the above, on 14th July 2008, the renowned astrologer Sri Subash Cherukunnu was conferred 'Daivanjnha Varanam' in the holi premises of Sri Raja Rajesjwara temple at Taliparamba, Kannur District and it was declared then and there that 7 am on 1st September 2008 was the 'Muhurtham' for 'Sankusthapanam' ceremony. A five day long special poojas ware offered at the proposed site and in the presence of Sooriya Kaladi Jayasooriyan Namboodiripad and several devotees, the well known astrologer and sculpturer Sri Devada Kodungallur performed the holy Sankasthapana ceremony successfully.
